Agrimonia eupatoria is an herbaceous member of the rose family with a slender tip of fragrant yellow flowers that transform into pod-shaped seeds in autumn. Common across the UK, the agrimony plant has been used in European folk plants for centuries for its beneficial properties. Agrimony is traditionally used to dye wool, and the dry air fractions of the mountain rose can be used in infusions, herbal tea blends, extracts, and topical applications.Grass is a plant of the rose family that grows near hedges and fences across the UK.

This plant has a pronounced and pleasant aroma, which is often compared to apricots, but not sweet. During Elizabeth's time, herbalists began to introduce the plant as a benevolent plant, perhaps because of its beneficial properties, or perhaps because the seeds cling to passers-by's clothing and give them "gifts" of plants for years.
