For hundreds of years, the leaves of Vaccinium myrtillus have been used in traditional European medicine for their health benefits. Blueberry leaves can be used outdoors or infused into herbal tea.Also known as "Black Hearts" in Thomas Hardy's new 1878 book, The Return of the Nation, the European blueberry is a close relative of blueberries, cranberries, and American blueberries. It grows well in acidic, moist soils in temperate and subarctic regions of the world.
Bilberry has a long history of medicinal use. The English used it as a dye for wool due to its beautiful dark blue / purple color. Other names include bilberry and bilberry.
